Jump Start

We know that coming to a new to you convention, or even coming to a convention solo can be a bit overwhelming. We would love to help make it more approachable for all. Currently, we have the Players Wanted and Teachers Wanted signs, which have been great but we would like to do a bit more. Going to tables with Players Wanted signs can be difficult for those of us who are more introverted. Even more so when people keep the signs up when they are no longer actively looking for a player. So we would like to try out a Jump Start table, inspired by attendee and game Designer Timothy Blank. The Jump Start table will be a place where you can gather for others to approach you, removing a social hurdle for a lot of us. The Jump Start table will be in the front of the ballroom and have a brightly colored tablecloth and a sign so it can be easily found. 

If you are currently looking to join a game or meet new people, head on over to the Jump Start table! Our community has always been a welcoming one that we are incredibly proud of. This is just another way for us to improve on that and meet more people at their comfort level. We are looking forward to seeing how this works out. Don’t worry, we will still keep the Players Wanted and Teachers Wanted table signs out as well. We are trying to add to our community, not detract from it!
