A little bit about Dave, written in his own words.
Hi I’m Dave and I’m a creative and intellectual educator, designer, & researcher focusing on games, theory, and technology. I study applied games and teach others how to use games for education and learning. I teach at New York University’s School of Professional Studies. I also host the podcast Experience Points and consult at University XP on games-based learning. I also lead the Games-Based Learning Alliance: a community of individuals who use games for teaching, training, learning, and development. I founded Banditos Gaming: a registered 501(c)(3) social and educational non-profit organization that promotes play, community development, and learning through games.
THREE RANDOM FACTS ABOUT DAVE:
He wrote his dissertation on board games.
Once he saw a big boulder that he thought was slowly walking away from him. He later learned it was a giant tortoise.
He has been seasick in every time zone.
