Tam Myaing and David Gordon
We are excited to be welcoming Tam Myaing and David Gordon to this year’s Designer Alley at #G2S2023!
A little bit about Tam and David, written in their own words.
Tam: Making board games was my first passion and it’s something that I cultivated throughout my life. It lead me to my profession in software engineering — combining art, technology, and games into a fulfilling career. I’m also a firm believer that games can be used for learning and that making games can be a wonderful educational tool.
David: I have had a lifelong passion for games and feel so fortunate to have been able to work on around 60 new games in the last four years. I love co-designing and am thrilled to have worked with some incredible designers over the years.
THREE RANDOM FACTS ABOUT TAM:
His given Burmese name is Tin Aung Myaing, but he adopted TAM in my early teens when I started creating games.
Tam practices a form of Filipino martial arts that uses rattan sticks that are between 2-3 feet in length.
He is an avid ballroom dancer — swing, blues, but especially the Argentinian Tango.
THREE RANDOM FACTS ABOUT DAVID:
He won the Big 10 Billiards Championship in 1991.
David achieved a draw against Grandmaster Susan Pulgar in a chess simul.
We adopted a dog named Gordon, so his name is now Gordon Gordon.
TAM AND DAVID WILL BE SHOWING OFF THEIR GAME EXIT! IN DESIGNER ALLEY AT #G2S2023
EXIT!: Run for your life! You are trapped in a corridor and chased by a monster. Go through doors and find clues to find the secret exit. Light, family, mass-market game with yomi for 3-9 players.
